What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you on your next request. Some cookies remember who you are; others protect a single step, such as signing in, and are deleted straight after.
Cookies we set
These cookies are strictly necessary. Without them you couldn't sign in or connect your accounts safely, so they can't be switched off in Ntekuma. You can still block or delete them in your browser, but sign-in will stop working.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in to your account. | Up to 30 days, or until you sign out |
authjs.csrf-token, authjs.callback-url | Protects sign-in from forged requests and returns you to the page you were on. | Until you close the browser |
authjs.state, authjs.pkce.code_verifier | Secures signing in with Google. | 15 minutes |
ntk_or_pkce, ntk_box_state, ntk_gauth_* | Secure the step where you connect OpenRouter or Box, or add Google sign-in to an app you build. | A few minutes, deleted when the step ends |
admin_session, admin_2fa_pending, ntek_impersonate | Used only by Ntekuma staff to sign in to the admin console and to give support. | Up to 8 hours |
When you are on a secure connection, browsers show some of these names with a __Secure- or __Host- prefix. They are the same cookies.
Settings saved on your device
Ntekuma also keeps a few preferences in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us with your requests.
| Name | What it remembers |
|---|---|
ntekuma-theme, ntekuma-sidebar | Your light or dark theme and whether the sidebar is collapsed. |
ntk: and ntekuma-live-preview keys | How you last arranged a project workspace, your preview and dictation choices, and whether to notify you when a job finishes. |
ntekuma-cookie-notice | That you have accepted this policy, so the notice doesn't show again. |
Other services
When you sign in with Google, or pay for a plan, you briefly go to Google's or Stripe's own site. Any cookies set there belong to them and follow their policies. Sites and apps you build and publish with Ntekuma are yours: if you add cookies to them, telling your own visitors about them is up to you.
If this changes
If we ever want to use cookies that aren't essential, such as for analytics, we will ask for your permission before setting them, and we will update this page and show the notice again.
